When violence spread on our streets in 2024 and hotels housing asylum seekers were targeted with attacks and arson, we put out a simple request: that the public send us messages of welcome for us to share with people affected by the attacks.
Over 3,000 of you responded within two weeks.
We have now delivered your messages of compassion, solidarity and welcome to asylum seekers across the UK and we're spreading welcome even further, by pasting the messages all over the UK.
Submitting a Message of Welcome is a simple act of kindness and solidarity that can make a huge difference in someone's first experience of the UK, creating a feeling of community and togetherness.
We are sending messages to every city housing newcomers to the UK by the end of 2025.
