messages of welcome

When far right violence spread across the UK in August 2024, and hotels housing asylum seekers were targeted with attacks and arson, we put out a simple request: that members of the public send us a message of welcome for us to share with people affected by the attacks. Over 3,000 of you responded within two weeks.

We have now delivered your messages of compassion, solidarity and welcome to asylum seekers we work with across the UK and the movement lives on. We'res spreading welcome even further, by pasting the messages as posters all over the UK.

Submitting a Message of Welcome is a simple act of kindness and solidarity that can make a huge difference in someone's first experience of the UK, creating a feeling of community and togetherness.

We are planning to send messages to every city housing newcomers to the UK by the end of 2025.

Help us to spread a message of love, not hate.
