Our English & Befriending Project connects volunteers tutors and refugees and asylum seekers across the UK for online, free one-to-one English Conversation Classes.

The project empowers people to feel more confident in their spoken English and eases isolation, while supporting community integration and social cohesion, making people welcome and equipping them for life in the UK.

The project is about human connection; the one-to-one nature of the support allows people to build long-lasting, sustainable friendships and creates an environment that supports mutual learning and cultural exchange.
